We were first referred to Darcy through another broker, who thought that Darcy would be able to assist us with setting up insurances over the period we were buying our first home. Darcy looked at our lives, our lifestyles and came up with a plan to insure us with the most suitable insurance company, with reasonable premiums and the best outcomes (if and when needed). Less than 2 months after our insurances were all in place, Blair had a sporting accident which meant that he was unable to work for a long period of time. Luckily, as per Darcy’s advice, we had taken up Mortgage protection insurance! Ahhh the sigh of relief… So for the last 5 months, our mortgage has been paid for as well as our insurance premiums, and the financial stress of owning our first home, and Blair being off work, has been minimum. Darcy was able to be that ‘go to person’ who dealt with the insurance company directly on our behalf, which was fantastic for us as we had no idea how to even start the claim process. 5/5. Darcy worked with us over a long period as we transitioned back to NZ after some years abroad as expats. We’d never used a broker before and Darcy showed the real worth of doing so. He was unbiased in his thoughts, was transparent and honest in his recommendations and worked hard to get us a very good loan structure.
